7.08 Student Email Accounts

Every HMS student is provided with an official HMS email account. By using the HMS email system, you agree to abide by both the Acceptable Use Policy and the HMS Email Policy.  Access your HMS email online with your primary email address at mail.med.harvard.edu.  Students may access email on a mobile device or via an email program such as Outlook, Mac Mail, or Thunderbird. Setup instructions for various applications are here. Because the Medical School and other Harvard offices send official information and notifications to this designated account, students must regularly monitor their Harvard email account for important communications. Students should also be aware that email is not a highly secure form of communication and should never be used to store or transmit high-risk confidential information such as patient information, Social Security numbers, or any confidential information that you do not want to be public.
